# How to Edit a Task Title

> PM users can now update task titles after creation — keeping task names accurate as work evolves.

Task titles can now be edited after a task has been created. This is useful when the scope or description of a task changes and you need the title to reflect the latest context.

### Steps to Edit a Task Title

Open the Work Order and go to Activity. Navigate to the relevant work order, then click the **Activity** tab in the left sidebar. Make sure the **Tasks** tab is selected to view open tasks. Locate the task you want to update. At the bottom of the task card, click the **Edit Task** button.

The task edit form will open. The **title field** is the first input at the top of the form. Click into the title field, **clear the existing text**, and **type the new title**. Click the **Save** button at the bottom of the form. The task will immediately reflect the updated title.

### Why This Matters

Task management is iterative — requirements shift, priorities change, and original task names often become outdated. Being able to rename tasks without deleting and recreating them keeps your work order history clean and your team aligned.
